Item Analysis
The results from the in-service or beta test item analysis are used to determine which items are “good” and which items are "bad". The good items remain in the exam, the bad items are rejected. Only those items meeting certain criteria are used in the final exam. Your Mensor psychometric team will analyze your items and provide a detailed listing of the performance of each of your items. Mensor psychometricians are experienced in classical test theory and Rasch theory and will prescribe the best approach for the item analysis.
Outcomes from the item analysis include a listing of the statistics calculated, an explanation of the statistics, an option analysis, a comments report and an overall recommendation for each individual item. As needed, the psychometrician will provide consultation via a teleconference call to explain the statistics and discuss the findings.
